2023-2024 Theme: Continue

2 Timothy 3:14-15 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

It’s quite understandable that our children are in what many would consider the “learning phase” in their lives. The brain of children can absorb new things like a sponge. Many would agree that kids could learn a new skill quicker than an adult. Researchers discovered that as a person gets older, they have a more difficult time learning a new skill.

During their youth, our students are learning to follow authority, whether at home or within our school classes. They are learning to read, they are learning to solve problems. For those of us who are adults, we understand that learning is not limited to just our youth, but something we do even now.

The challenge presented within our theme this year is to encourage our students to continue the learning process, continue learning to be under authority, and continue the desire to learn. Each grade has new challenges of things to learn. Embrace those challenges.
